-----------------------------------------------START CONTENT-----------------------------------------------------> CONTENT You may think this is a "No Brainer" After all if you have bothered to make a web page to advertise your product you have undoubtedly put a lot of thought into what the page shows. If the page is mostly text you are probably ok but many of us follow the saying "A picture is worth a thousand words". Unfortunately the seach engine "bots", which are very smart, can only read text. They don`t see beautiful graphics, can`t see videos or Flash productions and can`t even read the text on a graphic. We must compensate for this on our page or the bot could just sail on by without picking up any meaningful information and the page could be ignored. One thing most people ignore most of the time, myself included, are the alt"" tags within a graphic. <img src="mypicture.jpg" width="200" height="100" border="0" alt=""> If you type something in there it will show while the graphic is loading or when you move your mouse over the graphic. Not a lot of use to us these days but for a search bot it is information. <img src="mypicture.jpg" width="200" height="100" border="0" alt="This is a picture of my beautiful product"> Move your mouse over this graphic to see what I mean. You can see that you should not ignore any of these alt tags especially if your page is graphic intensive. After that make sure that your message is on the page in text. By the way the bots don`t care what size the text is. Whatever the important text is you should try to combine it with the description meta tag.
